The story itself is developed well and the characters are meaningful with a broad appeal if a little outrageous when you stop to think about it. I will admit I learned more about Ireland and it's history than I knew before I started the book. I believe it is a historical fiction title. to have all 3 of Ireland's top men at her beck and call? I mean really the top 3! They all love her, would do anything for her- from loving to a distance to killing for her.

About 1/2 way through the book it hit me- this is more fantasy romance. It held my attention and managed to bug me if I fell asleep before tagging a bookmark, so overall pretty good. It is entertaining and kept me listening.
